What constitutes a nerd as opposed to a non-nerd shirt? Obscure cartoon characters only? I need clarification.

A nerd shirt has to refernce some part of popular culutre that lends itself to being mocked when taken to seriously by grown men, i.e. comics, science fiction, comic strips, cartoons, anime and so on. I chose these shirts because thay are nerdy and I would wear them.
